Gidja Walker Exhibition: Trees I’ve known

Trees I've known: An exhibition by Gidja Walker.
Trees come in all shapes and sizes.
Their place in the landscape helps create their shape and
their age cannot be determined by their size.
Trees act as a modem connected through the underground fungal web to other plants within the surrounding
community.
They provide a home, food and fibre to a wide array of life including us.
We sit in their shade, breathe in the air they produce,
eat their fruits and even if unknowingly, merge with their energy.
This is an exhibition depicting some of the trees I’ve known and what they have taught me.
