BELLOW BELOW – Sounds below the surface (Across the Waters)

BELLOW BELOW - Sounds below the surface.
Join us at the Fishing Hut at the Flinders Pier on Saturday 8am to watch the short film.
PLEASE NOTE - BELLOW BELOW will ALSO be shown as part of the Projections at Night short film collection AND at the Eco-Arts Panel - Will Art Save a Planet (Sunday 23 Feb 10am)
A short film by Dr Diana Chester and Jo Lane. See and hear an orchestra of sounds below our feet. Be transported to another world, hear sounds beyond the human aural capability spectrum. By using highly sensitive hydrophones, the audio recorded at the edge or below the wetlands, sand, sea and waters of Western Port Bay, Victoria the artwork creates the experience that is BELLOW BELOW. The teaming life below is exposed. By looking at things differently we see a world beneath our ears.
BELLOW BELOW is part of ‘Across the Waters’, an Eco Arts Project which celebrates Westernport Bay/Warn Marin as a place of connection between people, land, waterways, sky and the wider Living World. The project is inviting people around the Bay to take part in activities that bring art, music, conservation and culture together. The artists wish to thank Mornington Peninsula Shire and Save Westernport for bringing it to Flinders Fringe.
